Accommodation and Rates
Spread throughout the undulating landscape, tucked away on a private jungle estate, exist suites and cottages, each with its own character and architectural style - designed to allow for intimacy with the surrounding nature.
-
The Cottages
Three cottages, each unique in style, with a large verandah overlooking the lake. One cottage is a triple share with single beds so perfect for three friends travelling together.
-
The Garden Suites
Garden Suites cascade down with the gentle landscape, a modern and minimalist statement nestled into the terrain. The Garden Suites are twin share.
-
The Tree Houses
The Tree Houses touch lightly onto the steep hillside, raised above the surrounding fauna with views of the lake and swimming pool. One king size bed just for yourself or share if you are retreating with a loved one.
-
The Two-Bed Villa
The Banyan, two-bedroom villa sits on a small hillside, surrounded by lush greenery, offering views that stretch over Koggala Lake. Featuring a private swimming pool this villa would be perfect for two friends who also want their own private space.
Nature and yoga share in a spirit that invites the individual to walk more lightly, see more clearly, and breathe more deeply to allow for a renewal of self and purpose to unfold and evolve.
Optional Activities
Safari
Safari experiences at Udawalawe let you see native animal species in their natural habitat and are a fan-favourite among visitors to the south coast. The park is around two hours from Ahangama so is very easy to reach in a day.
(Around $100 USD per person in a shared van and including cost of safari jeeps in the park).
Surfing
There is a huge and vibrant surf culture on the southern coast of Sri Lanka and Weligama is where most surfers flock to test out the waves. Ahangama to Weligama is just a short 20-minute ride in a tuk-tuk.
($75 USD per person including transport and boards).
Shops and Cafes
Whilst most travellers head to this hotspot for surfing, you might be surprised to hear that this stunning little town has cute shops and is also an up-and-coming foodie spot in Sri Lanka. Ahangama might be small in size but the restaurant scene is one to die for.

September to October and April are the best times for exploring the whole country. Squeezed between the two monsoon seasons, Sri Lanka's twin shoulder seasons see agreeable weather right across the country, with fewer crowds and lower prices.
Days are usually hot with balmy evenings, so visitors should pack light and cool clothing. The average daily maximum is 30 C and the average daily minimum is 26 C.
It’s mostly clear - expect blue skies, sunshine and the occasional tropical afternoon shower.
